From Alentejo, Portugal this superior category extra virgin olive oil obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical means. Blend of Arbequina and Cobrançosa olive varieties, Quinta de São Vicente olive oil is characterised first by its aromatic, fruity, fresh touch. This is followed by deep, more intense flavours, with a suggestion of the olive trees themselves and a hint of hazelnut.

In the hours following the harvest, the oil is cold-pressed and placed in special tanks which protect it from light and variations in temperature. These tanks preserve the unique characteristics of the olives’ flavour. After the extra virgin olive oil has been left to stand for a while, the various batches are combined. The extra virgin olive oil is then bottled after undergoing light filtration, which gives it its glossy appearance. To ensure the best possible quality, the olive groves and press are located at the heart of the Quinta de S. Vicente estate.

Varieties of olive tree: Arbequina, Cobrançosa

Tasting Note: A distinctive flavour of ripe fruit, with the mildness typical of Arbequina. Very slightly bitter and spicy, with hints of ripe fruit, almond, carob and hazelnut.

Quinta de S. Vicente olive oil is an oil for everyday use. It is the ideal base for seasoning and sauces, and for the final touch of main dishes and desserts.
